"Raintail, do you really wish to become a..." the ThunderClan leader paused, and continued slowly "a medicine cat? After all that training to become a warrior?" "Yes," Raintail murmured "I do want to become the medicine cat for ThunderClan. I know how long the training took, I had a great mentor, but StarClan visited me and told me that I had to choose my destiny; and I knew my destiny was being a medicine cat for ThunderClan. The Clans medicine cat StarClan ancestors will train me in my dreams." "Very well," the leader meowed, showing slight disappointment in his voice and eyes. "I will the the Clan."
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather by the Ancient Oak!" The ThunderClan leader yowled out to is Clan. Most of the cats started shuffling over to the oak, towards their leader. Murmurs were erupting among the clan. No one but Raintail and the leader knew she was becoming the medicine cat. But she knew the Clan needed one. "Cats of ThunderClan, young and old!" The leader yowled from the oak. "The now former warrior, Raintail, is going to become our medicine cat!" There was a slight edge to his voice, as if he didn't want her to do this. "She'll be trained by our medicine cat ancestors in StarClan! May Raintail be ThunderClan's medicine cat!" There was a deadly silence. Slowly, but steadily, the cats moved back to what they were doing. Was this a bad decision? Raintail could only move with her destiny.
So, now ThunderClan has a medicine cat. River, Wind, and ShadowClan's medicine cats are still opening. I am not willing to take an apprentice yet. May the Clans strive and survive!
